ABOUT
Jan Pulsford is a life-long Music Composer/Producer, Broadcaster, Keyboard Player, Digital Artist and Events Designer.
Living in East Anglia, Jan produces the annual Woodbridge Ambient Music Festival, which Brian Eno opened in 2022. She also produced the Beowulf and Spirit of Place festivals in 2017 - 2021 and continues working with the local community as a member of the Climate & Ecological Emergency Committee, and Choose Woodbridge.
At the advent of the World Wide Web, Jan beta tested for the Rocket Network, exploring future technology with Apple and Microsoft in the USA.
After touring with the Thompson Twins, Jan met Cyndi Lauper in New York and co-write and produced several albums including the iconic "Sisters of Avalon" - an anthemic homage to women and marginalised groups. Their Christmas hit "Early Christmas Morning" has gleaned over 15 million streams!
Jan also worked with legends Darlene Love, Chico Freeman, Steps, Eurovision, Linda Lewis and was an early writer of library and production music for Atmosphere and FirstCom, now administered by UMG. She became a mentor for the Ivors Academy and a member of their Future Sound Experience, exploring virtual worlds and AI.
Jan broadcasts a weekly 'ambient music world' on community radio and advocates care of the planet through music and the arts. She performs with Silent Dinners, mixing ambient music with slow films and poetry. They recently formed Slow Arts East  and look forward to playing around East Anglia in 2026.
